The new Museum is located near the windmill De Bonte Hen at the Zaanse Schans. The multimedia exhibition is about trade, culture and wealth, but also about hard work, poverty and social development. For example, there is a gigantic panorama painting of no less than 11 meters wide, showing all the windmills in East Zaandam from around 1800. There is an interactive model of 1100 windmills of the Zaan region. Virtual guides travel with you through the museum and provide the needed commentary.

At the top floor you can see changing exhibitions and films and you have a breathtaking view over the polder and seven windmills. All while enjoying a nice cup of coffee and more.
